Brooke Friendly
Brooke Friendly has been folk and country dancing for more than 40 years.
She was a founding member of The Heather and the Rose Country Dancers
(H&R). She served as H&R's treasurer and
secretary for seven years.
Brooke teaches at dance camps, balls, festivals, and workshops throughout North America, England, and Australia. She has co-led the weekly English and Scottish Country Dance in Ashland Oregon since 1982. She teaches dance classes the Southern Oregon University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and has taught an academic credit class at SOU. Brooke also calls contra dance, leads family dances, and teaches dance at local K-12 schools.
She and her husband Chris Sackett have published six volumes of country dance choreography (Impropriety I-VI) and CD of tunes for their books.
From 2014 to 2020 she served as secretary on the Board of Directors the Country Dance and Song Society.
